Dear Media Risers,
We stand here in solidarity at a historic moment. In the middle of a global COVID-19 pandemic. Witnessing a global uprising against anti-Black racism. At the end of Asian Pacific Heritage Month and the start of LGBTQ+ Pride Month.
At Media Rise, we take this moment to remind ourselves of our mission to elevate media for social good. We believe in the power of meaningful media, storytelling, art, and design to make the world a better place.
We ask you to join us in (re)committing to our three calls to action:
FEEL: to create and consume meaningful media for social good through values such as compassion, empathy, and respect.
INSPIRE: to celebrate stories that use the power of media to accelerate social change.
CONNECT: to facilitate collaboration between cause-driven creatives, media professionals, educators, and government and nonprofit leaders to amplify our collective impact.
In line with our mission, we are honored to curate and present to you, "Quarantined Across Borders" (QAB) blog series, which launches tomorrow Monday, June 1st 2020.
We share thought-provoking and inspiring stories about being quarantined.

Especially from borderland/immigrant/diasporic communities.
