WHO WE ARE
Established in 2013, Media Rise is a global collective that connects people and ideas to promote meaningful media. We believe in the power of positive storytelling, media, art, and design to make the world a better place.

We empower people to create and consume meaningful media that promotes universal human values such as compassion, empathy and respect.

We celebrate success stories of how to unleash the power of media to accelerate social change.

We encourage collaboration between cause-driven creatives, media professionals, educators, and government and nonprofit leaders to amplify their collective impact.
WHAT WE DO
We have convened 3,000+ participants through 60+ events in four countries (U.S., U.K., India & Singapore) through media festivals, film screenings, networking lounges, competitions, panel discussions, and other community-driven workshops and events.

MEDIA RISE FESTIVALS
The week-long annual media festivals includes:
-The Forum for cross-sector panel discussions on best practices
-Pitch Night to support innovative media projects for social good
-48-hour video challenge connecting causes with filmmakers
-Film screenings and discussions
-Networking lounges
-Interactive community-led workshops
YOUTH MEDIA RISE
Day-long festivals that include interactive hands-on workshops for
educators and youth on critical media literacy and digital storytelling
EARLY RISE EVENTS
Half-day events with 2-3 keynote speakers
to encourage focused conversations and collaborations
among scholars, activists, artists, and community members
